Your Opportunity:

The Alberta Health Services is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at the Rising Sun Long Term Care Centre. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and promoting a safe and healthy environment for our residents.

About the Role:

As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to our residents, including health promotion, disease prevention, and management of acute and chronic conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients' physical and emotional needs
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Provide direct patient care, including medication administration and wound care
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Document patient information and progress

Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited nursing education program
  • Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and tolerate constant walking, standing, kneeling, bending, reaching, and sustaining posture

  • Demonstrated critical thinking, effective decision-making, and conflict resolution skills
  • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as a member of a care team
