Job Summary:

The Coordinator, Research Funds Services plays a pivotal role in providing research financial reporting and administration on assigned grant funded programs at the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA). This position is responsible for monitoring research projects and budgets, coordinating financial reports, and liaising with the PHSA finance team to ensure accurate grant information. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for tracking receipts and disbursements, managing research funds among partners and stakeholders, and assisting with procurement practices.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and track research project progress, including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Coordinate the development and submission of financial reports to grant funding bodies.
  • Liaise with the PHSA restricted funds finance team to ensure accurate grant information.
  • Manage research funds among partners and stakeholders, ensuring effective allocation and coordination.
  • Assist with procurement practices, ensuring compliance with university and healthcare funding processes.
Qualifications:
  • A diploma in accounting or financial management, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Three years of recent experience in a multi-government institutional setting, preferably working with national and international granting bodies.
  • Knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in a university/life science environment.
  • Familiarity with grant management and guidelines from various agencies.
  • Working knowledge of university/healthcare funding processes and procurement practices.
About the Role:

This role offers a competitive salary range of $55,677-$73,076/year, prorated for part-time positions. The starting salary will be determined based on the successful candidate's relevant education and experience.
