Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Logistics Supervisor to join our team at Road Wave Transport. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the logistics of our transportation operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Logistics Coordination: Coordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure smooth operation of our transportation network.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and submit reports to management on key performance indicators and operational metrics.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery, and arrange for maintenance and repair work as needed.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise a team of 16-20 people, including shippers and receivers, transportation route and crew schedulers, and staff in various areas of responsibility.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
  • Operational Planning: Plan, organize, and oversee the operational logistics of our organization.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Computer and Technology Skills: Proficient in MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS Windows.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle heavy loads, and work under pressure.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, judgement, organized, reliability, team player, and proactive.
Work Environment

This is a permanent position with a 40-hour workweek. The language of work is English. This role is a green job, involving duties and responsibilities that lead to positive environmental outcomes.
