Job Title: Food Counter Attendant

We are seeking a skilled Food Counter Attendant to join our team at The Whaling Group. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs to maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Load buspans and trays with dishes, glassware, and flatware
  • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware
  • Place dishes in storage areas and maintain a clean and organized kitchen
  • Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas
  • Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand
  • Keep records of the quantities of food used
  • Package take-out food and prepare, heat, and finish simple food items
  • Serve customers at counters or buffet tables and take orders
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash and sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors
Requirements:
  • Experience an asset
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform repetitive tasks
  • Standing for extended periods and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a team environment and provide exceptional customer service
Work Environment:

The Whaling Group is a dynamic and fast-paced environment where you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals. As a Food Counter Attendant, you will be working in a coffee shop environment, serving customers and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Language:

The primary language of work is English.

Hours of Work:

35 to 40 hours per week.
