Health Care Aide Position

As a Patient Care Support Specialist, you will provide essential assistance and support to residents/patients with their daily activities under the guidance of our experienced team leaders. You will work within established best practices and actively participate in ongoing education to maintain your skills and knowledge.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents/patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to residents/patients.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents/patients.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, residents/patients, and their families.
  • Adhere to all established policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent.
  • Valid Health Care Aide Certificate from a recognized program.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Respect for cultural diversity and individual needs.
  • Proficiency in both official languages may be required depending on the position.
  • Ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the role.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and patient privacy.
  • A strong work ethic and reliable attendance record.

  • Successful completion of necessary background checks and immunizations as required.
  • Additional requirements may apply depending on the specific program area.
