Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Harmony Hills Early Learning Academy and Youth Centre. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to our young students.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Assess the children's development and prepare a learning plan tailored to their needs.
  • Lead activities, including storytelling, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest.
  • Encourage children to express creativity through various media, such as art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity.
  • Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
Requirements
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate or equivalent.
  • Child development worker (ECE level 2) certification.
  • Emergency child care first aid and CPR certification.
  • Food allergy and anaphylaxis training.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
