Job Title: Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Harmony Hills Early Learning Academy and Youth Centre. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to our young students.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging environment that promotes the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. You will work closely with our team to develop and implement child-care programs that meet the unique needs of each child.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess children's development and create personalized learning plans
  • Provide care and supervision to infants and toddlers, including bathing, diapering, and feeding
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment, including cleaning and organizing the daycare area
  • Communicate with parents and guardians to keep them informed of their child's progress
  • Lead activities and engage children in play, including storytelling, singing, and crafts
  • Encourage children to express their creativity and imagination
  • Guide children in developing good eating, dressing, and toilet habits
  • Prepare snacks and arrange the daycare area for meals and rest periods
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and report to supervisors
Requirements:
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate or equivalent
  • Experience working with children, preferably in a childcare setting
  • Knowledge of child development and learning principles
  • Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Physical ability to lift, bend, and move children as needed
