Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement program schedules that cater to the needs of our program participants, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
  2. Supervise children at all times, maintaining a high level of awareness of their needs and well-being.
  3. Collaborate with the child's team, including parents, caregivers, and other staff members, to implement care plans and strategies that promote consistent practice.
  4. Provide feedback and observations on the progress of program participants, working closely with the team to ensure effective implementation of care plans.
  5. Contribute to a positive and inclusive team environment, promoting excellence and effective conflict resolution.
  6. Maintain effective relationships with parents, caregivers, and other stakeholders, ensuring open communication and collaboration.
  7. Administer first aid and medication in accordance with our organization's policies and procedures, as well as licensing regulations.
  8. Participate in promotional activities, programs, and events as required by our organization.
  9. Ensure the safety of participants and staff by maintaining appropriate adult-to-child ratios and conducting safety drills.
  10. Ensure compliance with our organization's standards, guidelines, and policies, as well as Community Care Facility Licensing requirements.
  11. Report incidents and injuries via our online incident and injury reporting form.
  12. Provide extra program supervision and cover sick calls as necessary.

Requirements:

  1. Completion of 20 hours of training in Child Development, Guidance, Health and Safety, or Nutrition, or possession of a Responsible Adult Certificate.
  2. Post-Secondary training in Child and Youth Care, Recreation, or a related field, or equivalent education and/or experience preferred.
  3. Valid driver's license.
  4. Class 4 unrestricted driving license or willingness to obtain preferred.
