About the Role


We are seeking an experienced Senior Plant Process Engineer to develop, design, commission, test, and optimize carbon capture gas processing plants for various industrial applications. As the technical lead from conception through completion, you will ensure delivery within budget and schedule and to the required quality standard in Svante carbon capture projects.



Key Responsibilities



  • Develop, design, commission, test, and optimize carbon capture gas processing plants for various industrial applications.
  • Support early engagements & technical discussions with potential customers as part of the Business Development/Sales Team support.
  • Prepare basis of Design document including design standards, site conditions, available utilities, emission and waste streams limitations, and overall performance requirements for the carbon capture system.
  • Design greenfield gas processing plants, monitors modifications and upgrades, and troubleshoots existing process designs.
  • Apply the principles of mass, momentum and heat transfer to process and equipment design, including conceptual, scheme and detail design.
  • Perform process hazard and operability analysis (HAZOP), and assesses the safety and environmental impact of the plant.
  • Perform techno economic analysis (TEA) and evaluates the capital and operational cost of projects during the pre-construction phase.


Requirements


To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • A Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or relevant field.
  • Minimum years of experience in development, design, and operations of chemical processes.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite of products, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook and process simulation software (Hysys and Aspen).
  • A strong technical background with process knowledge of gas processing, and steam generations systems.
  • Excellent analytical skills with ability to make sound recommendations.


Bonus Requirements


Awarded to those who have:



  • Experience working with solvent based CO capture plants using Selective Chemical Absorption Solvents and Thermal Kinetic Optimization process or relevant experience in gas separation processing or gas power plants.
  • A strong technical background with process knowledge of CO capture technologies.
