Job Title: Power Engineer, Third Class

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Power Engineer, Third Class to join our team at MDI. As a Power Engineer, you will be responsible for coordinating maintenance activities of trade contractors, completing and maintaining station records, logs, and reports, and analyzing and recording instrument readings and equipment malfunctions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinate maintenance activities of trade contractors
  • Complete and maintain station records, logs, and reports
  • Read electrical schematics, blueprints, and other technical diagrams
  • Analyze and record instrument readings and equipment malfunctions
  • Assist during routine systems testing
  • Assist in the development of operation, maintenance, and safety procedures
  • Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment
  • Investigate problems to fix or make minor repair
  • Maintain daily log of operation, maintenance, and safety activities
  • Monitor and inspect plant equipment and systems to detect equipment malfunctioning and to ensure plant systems are operating normally
  • Operate automated or computerized control systems
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance
  • Regulate water levels
  • Start up and shut down power plant equipment
