About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Property Assessment Specialist to join our team in Corporate Services. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with data, possess excellent communication skills, and have a strong work ethic.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will provide clerical support, assemble and process data, and maintain accurate records to ensure timely completion of assessment rolls and notices. They will also assist assessors during peak periods and respond to customer inquiries regarding assessment and tax accounts.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide clerical support including electronic filing, record maintenance, and preparation of mass mail-out documents.
  2. Assemble, process, and edit data required to issue assessment and business revitalization zone rolls and notices within legislated deadlines.
  3. Respond to customer inquiries regarding assessment and tax accounts through various means of communication.
  4. Assist assessors at peak times to ensure timely completion of assessment rolls.
  5. Maintain accurate records and databases, including updating school declarations and performing other related duties as required.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Diploma in Office or Business Administration is required.
  • Two years' experience in a computerized environment using spreadsheets, databases, and word processing applications is required.
  • Strong keyboarding proficiency and ability to convey information clearly and concisely are essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, is necessary.
Working Conditions and Benefits

This is a temporary full-time position offering a competitive salary of $48,000 per year, plus bi-weekly COLA of $480. The successful candidate will be responsible for submitting a criminal record check.
