Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Pipefitter Planner to join our team at Dow Chemical in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating pipefitting operations to ensure efficient and safe execution of tasks.

Your primary duties will include:

  • Creating job packages from work order scopes, including labor, material, and service requirements.
  • Analyzing technical information to optimize work plans and ensure safe task execution.
  • Reviewing work orders for completeness and returning them to the gatekeeper if necessary.
  • Carrying out field checks when required.
  • Preparing job packages and inputting plans into SAP.
  • Identifying task activities and materials/tools/equipment needed to perform tasks.
  • Soliciting safety information and requirements for task execution.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma/equivalent plus a Journeyman Certificate, Red Seal Designation, or two-year degree (or higher).
  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in maintenance, manufacturing, or project management.
  • Prior maintenance field planning experience is preferred.
  • Ability to work safely in a plant environment, meet physical demands, and use PPE.
