Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Optician to join our team at LensCrafters in Brampton, ON. As a key member of our optical team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and providing expert advice on eyewear and vision care.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and serve customers with a smile, setting expectations and ensuring a positive experience
- Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses, demonstrating attention to detail and quality
- Act as a leader in optical acumen, staying up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies
- Take and record measurements, accurately adjust and fit eyewear to meet customer needs and standards
- Assist team members with complex product needs and prescriptions, providing expert guidance and support
- Accurately and thoroughly use technology, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively
- Proactively identify and resolve customer issues, ensuring satisfaction and exceeding expectations
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time with competing priorities, achieving exceptional results on brand KPIs and competencies
- Maintain a clean, attractive, and organized store appearance, adhering to company policies and procedures
- Inform management of safety opportunities and demonstrate safe work practices
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent
- State licensure
- Optical dispensing experience
- Strong customer service skills, including communication, listening, and teamwork
- Knowledge of current store merchandise and fashion trends
- Basic math skills and familiarity with POS, computers, and calculators
- Ability to use and carry an iPad/tablet, embracing new technology and change
