We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Project Management Officer to join our team at The Government of Nova Scotia. As a key member of our department, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and implementation of data governance frameworks, ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of health system data assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement data quality frameworks to improve the accuracy and reliability of health system data assets.
  • Conduct data analysis on relational databases to identify and address data quality issues.
  • Provide expert advice on the development and maintenance of national and provincial data standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to promote optimal use of data standards across the Nova Scotia health system.
  • Support data users in the Department of Health and Wellness, and the data stewards within the Nova Scotia Health Authority and IWK Health Centre.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline.
  • 7 years of related experience in public engagement, communications, change management, leadership, strategic planning, and project management.
  • Robust project management principles and experience in leading and overseeing staff and community-based engagement projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a wide array of stakeholders.
