About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cable Installation Specialist to join our team at BIDS TECHNICAL SERVICES INC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining aerial and underground telephone equipment, inspecting and testing cable signals, and ensuring the integrity of our network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Maintenance: Install and maintain aerial and underground telephone equipment, including cable modems and software to enable Internet access.
  • Cable Signal Inspection and Testing: Inspect and test cable signals and associated equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Network Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues with cable signals, trunking systems, and equipment to minimize downtime and ensure seamless service.
  • Equipment Repair and Replacement: Repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers, and amplifiers to maintain network integrity.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Complete and maintain accurate test and service reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 32 hours per week.
