Nurse Practitioner

Position Overview
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care services, including independent nursing services, administration of prescribed medical treatments, collaboration with the healthcare team, and participation in patient care coordination and discharge planning.
- Recent experience in a related clinical area is required or preferred.
Education and Certification
- Graduation from an approved Licensed Practical Nursing Education program is required.
- Certification in IV Therapy and IV Medication Administration is required.
- Maintenance of active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM) and CPR training are required.
Qualifications and Skills
- Knowledge of the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics, and the Licensed Practical Nurses Act.
- Demonstrated effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Prioritization and delegation of patient care, as well as ability to adapt to changing situations.
- Proficiency in computer software and applications.
The successful applicant will demonstrate medication calculation competency during orientation and possess the ability to function in a demanding and stressful environment.
Physical Requirements
- Rotating shifts and weekends may be required.
