Job Summary:

The Maintenance Leader will be responsible for managing the maintenance team and ensuring that safety, quality of work, and communication are upheld. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems and be able to plan, schedule, and coordinate maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the compliance of Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) requirements
  • Participate in the Management of Change program
  • Support HS&E Specialist for contractor safety training and coordination
  • Team Building and Communications
  • Work to improve team building within the maintenance department and between departments
  • Develop and maintain a respectful workplace environment
  • Communicate to the plant team as needed on important events and issues
  • Meet regularly with team members to ensure work is carried out effectively and efficiently

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Mechanical and electrical proficiency required
  • Organized and consistent work practices a must
  • Self-starter critical for role
  • Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills
  • Solid Communication Skills (written/verbal)
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Decision making skills that are data driven
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Ability to review technical data to make decisions
  • Basic math plus algebra
  • PLC Experience preferred
  • Previous experience in industrial maintenance

Physical Requirements:

The physical requirements of this position are:

  • The ability to stand for extended periods
  • The ability to manually lift, push or pull at least 50 pounds safely and with proper body mechanics, sometimes while in awkward positions
  • Use of hands (repetitive motion, grabbing, feeling, sensing, pulling)
  • The ability to work safely in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful work environment
  • The ability to safely and effectively work in an often-dusty work environment that experiences a broad range of temperatures (very hot to very cold)
  • The ability to withstand the rigors of working a 12(or 8)-hour rotating shift schedule
  • The ability to bend, stoop or kneel repetitively
  • The ability to reach or work above the shoulder
