**Vancouver Island Health Authority (VIHA) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Outreach Nurse Specialist to join our Substance Use Services Outreach team. As a Mental Health and Addiction Services Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing mental health and addiction services to clients in community settings.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and implement personalized recovery plans for clients with complex substance use and mental health needs.
  • Collaborate with community agencies and service providers to ensure effective referral and transition processes.
  • Conduct assessments and provide evidence-based interventions to support clients in achieving their recovery goals.

**Requirements and Qualifications:**

  • Degree in Nursing or related field plus a minimum of two years' experience in a mental health or addiction setting.
  • Current registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant or a practicing RPN registrant.
  • Knowledge of harm reduction principles and Trauma-Informed Care practices.
