**Job Summary**

Vancouver Island Health Authority is committed to providing high-quality services to our community. We are seeking a dedicated Community Outreach Specialist to join our team and make a difference in the lives of those we serve.

In this role, you will work closely with an interdisciplinary treatment team to provide assessment, intervention, treatment, outreach, detoxification, recovery consultation, and referral for clients experiencing mental health and/or alcohol & drug addiction problems and their caregivers/families.

About the Team

  • Our team operates within a rehabilitation/recovery harm reduction focused model, aiming to support clients in achieving positive change and independence.
  • Collaboration and effective communication are key to our success, and we strive to maintain a supportive and inclusive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work under the direction of the Clinical Coordinator or designate to deliver services within our framework and standards.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to support clients in achieving their goals and promoting positive change.
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families on mental health and addiction issues.
