Job Title: Technical ArtistWe are seeking a skilled Technical Artist to join our team. As a Technical Artist, you will be responsible for researching, defining, improving, and maintaining artist pipelines, tools, and workflows.
Responsibilities- Research and define artist pipelines, tools, and workflows
- Interface with stakeholders and drive collaborative projects
- Troubleshoot issues and resolve them by inventing or building robust, quality technical implementations
- Participate in art asset reviews to identify technical concerns or risks
- Mentor and guide team members in areas of expertise and instill best practices
- Minimum five years of professional experience in computer-generated art
- Solid understanding of 3D math
- Intimate knowledge of Maya and computer graphics
- Proficient scripting/programming experience with Python, PyQT/PySide
- Experience with HLSL, GLSL, or similar shader languages
- Good understanding of algorithm design and complexity
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and extensible code with attention to reusability
- Knowledge of software architecture and design
- Enthusiasm and initiative
- Excellent spoken and written communication
- Able and motivated to work with other team members
- Industry experience working on or shipping AAA titles
- Programming experience with C++
- Good understanding of modern lighting and rendering techniques
- Knowledge or experience in procedural asset creation like Houdini, Substance
- Experience with OpenMaya and Maya plugin development
