Job Summary

The Facility Repair Technician is a mid-level position responsible for performing maintenance and repair services on non-technical facility components. This role requires a strong understanding of facility operations and maintenance processes, as well as excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Main Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance and repair services on non-technical facility components
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with facility systems and equipment
  • Comply with all internal and external requirements, including environmental, health and safety, and fire protection regulations
  • Assist in the implementation of preventative maintenance programs
  • Respond to routine service requests and perform preventative and corrective maintenance
  • Operate facility mechanical, electrical, and other systems
  • Manage work order life cycle and record resolution data within the service maintenance management database
  • Assist in enhancing tenant and customer satisfaction and maintaining positive relations

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of facility operations and maintenance work experience
  • Knowledge of facility operations and maintenance processes
  • Ability to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair non-technical facility components
  • Strong client-service orientation and effective communication skills
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of Building Automation Systems (BAS)
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret technical drawings and information

Preferred Qualifications
  • Building Operator Certification or equivalent through an accredited institution
  • Systems Maintenance Administrator (SMA) or Systems Maintenance Technician (SMT) certification
  • Facilities Technician Certification
