Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Proposal Coordinator to join our team at Michels Canada. As a key member of our business development team, you will play a critical role in the preparation and submission of proposals to secure new business opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Lead/assist in responses to requests for proposals, expressions of interest, and statements of qualifications.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to produce high-quality, RFP-compliant submissions.
  • Develop and manage the pursuit delivery schedule.
  • Ensure document control and maintain a high standard of document management.
  • Produce documents in MS Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Assist proposal writing for major pursuits, including executive summaries, past performance, management approaches, and resume/staffing.
  • Lead and/or serve as a reviewer for formal reviews and compliance reviews.
  • Lead/coordinated debrief meetings and gather client feedback to support continuous improvement.
  • Support the maintenance of marketing information and monitor potential bid opportunities.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and act as the single point of contact for clients.
  • Uphold company culture and core values by adhering to Michels Canada's Standards and Policies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or post-secondary diploma in Engineering, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business, or related discipline.
  • 2-4 years of related experience with proposals and the RFP process.
  • Demonstrates strong communication abilities, through written language and interpersonal communication abilities.
Desired Skills/Qualifications
  • Eligible to be registered as a Professional Engineer in B.C., Alberta, or Ontario.
  • Experience in the construction industry, preferably in pipeline construction, utility, and civil infrastructure, facilities construction, and/or trenchless technology.
Language

Must be able to communicate verbally and through written language (by hand and digitally) in English.
