Job Summary
Providence Health Care (PHC) is a leading health and wellness organization in British Columbia, committed to delivering exceptional patient care and promoting a positive work culture. We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Emergency Nurse to join our team at Mount Saint Joseph Hospital.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, identify, plan, implement, and evaluate the nursing care required to assist patients in meeting their physical, social, spiritual, and psychological needs.
- Develop, implement, evaluate, and revise the plan of care, incorporating individual and/or group teaching into the care plan and nursing interventions.
- Provide direct nursing interventions for management of crisis and life-threatening situations, and document information including assessments, plan of care, patient status, and progress.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care, and participate in nursing orientation and share clinical knowledge with other nursing staff.
Requirements
- Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
- Two years' recent experience working in a tertiary care emergency department and/or two years' recent medical/surgical experience with an approved post-basic emergency nursing specialty program.
