Process Engineering Expertise

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to lead our Process Division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the process engineering discipline in the initial and detailed project engineering phase for process equipment packages and projects.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead process engineering discipline in project engineering phase.
  2. Process simulation and component specification of gas processing equipment.
  3. Scope definition, specification review, drawing preparation for proposals.
  4. Responsible for consistent transfer of process design from FEED or quotation stage to detailed engineering.
  5. Provide mentorship and training to junior members of the projects and applications team.
  6. Support front end engineering and design (FEED) through detailed design and equipment delivery from a process engineering perspective.
  7. Confirmation of equipment from a process engineering perspective to meet customer specifications.
  8. Understanding of industry codes and market standards.
  9. Organizing and contributing to the intellectual property of the company with respect to process equipment design, construction, and operation.
  10. Assist in the development of design standards, design tools, equipment specifications, procedures, and intellectual property development in the pursuit of company goals for the Process Division.
  11. Assisting service branches and technical support group with commissioning, start-up, modelling and optimization of new and existing field equipment.
  12. Interface with all operational departments during the project execution phase.
  13. Participation in preparation and training of applications engineers on process equipment sizing and estimating.
Requirements:
  1. Engineering Degree, Engineering Technologist, or related discipline.
  2. 15+ years' experience in gas processing and compression equipment and facility design.
  3. Construction and operation experience considered an asset.
  4. Registration with APEGA or other Canadian provincial P. Eng. Association.
  5. Knowledge of regulator requirements for construction, installation and operation of process equipment and oil and gas developments in general.
  6. Experience in development and management of technical teams.
  7. Willingness to work with imperfect information and tight timelines.
  8. Self-motivated and able to balance team and individual goals.
  9. Strong organizational and time management skills.
  10. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with minimal supervision.
  11. Competent with software applications including process system simulators, industry specific OEM software, communication software, ERP's, etc.
