Senior Gas Processing Facilities Design Engineer

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Gas Processing Facilities Design Engineer to join our team at Startec Compression & Process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the design, engineering, and fabrication of gas processing facilities.
About the Role
The Senior Gas Processing Facilities Design Engineer will be responsible for coordinating detailed engineering, procurement, and fabrication for assigned projects, ensuring compliance with regulations and safety standards. This includes planning, executing, and budgeting for projects, as well as managing schedules and man-hour budgets.
Main Responsibilities
- Support the Project Manager or Engineering Manager in developing project plans, including design basis memorandums, project execution plans, and other associated project support plans.
- Ensure design compliance with material budgets and industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including owners, operations, and construction teams, to mitigate cost and schedule impacts due to preventable late project changes.
- Participate in detailed design reviews, process hazard assessments, SIL analysis, constructability, operability, and maintainability reviews.
- Select and specify equipment for gas processing facilities, including compressors, heat exchangers, separators, filters, etc.
- Develop maintenance strategies to ensure equipment reliability and safety.
- Manage RFQs and POs for vendor-engineered and supplied equipment to minimize change and mitigate cost increases.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, facilities management, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in designing, engineering, and fabricating gas processing facilities.
- Knowledge of typical oil and gas equipment and systems, such as separators, towers, storage tanks/bullets, flares, and knockouts, instrument air, heat medium packages, truck loading, pumps, modularization, etc.
- P.Eng (APEGA) or Professional Licensee (Engineering).
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office, particularly Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with ASME / ANSI / API / CSA Codes and ABSA requirements.
Salary
$120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
