Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist II to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures, preparing patients for examination, and operating nuclear medicine equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
  • Prepare patients for examination, including administering radiopharmaceuticals and monitoring patient safety.
  • Operate nuclear medicine equipment, including cameras and scanners, to produce high-quality images.
  • Monitor patient safety and well-being during procedures, and take appropriate action if necessary.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of a Nuclear Medicine Technology program recognized by the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
  • Current certification with CAMRT and eligible for membership with CAMRT and CAMRT-BC.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position, including standing for long periods and lifting patients as needed.
