Job Summary:

Calmont Truck Centre Edmonton is seeking a skilled Heavy-Duty Equipment Specialist to join our team. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Instruct apprentices in the operation and maintenance of heavy-duty equipment
  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
  • Keep maintenance reports and documentation up to date
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work as required
  • Perform repair work on heavy trucks and attachments
  • Verify and repair emission control systems
  • Perform other routine maintenance tasks as assigned by management

Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required for this position
  • The ability to lift, bend, and twist is essential for this role
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are necessary for success in this position
