Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate communication and coordination among CSA Operations personnel, international partners, regulatory agencies, and clients to achieve project goals. Address inquiries regarding European CE marking and associated technical and regulatory standards.
  • Provide information to clients about CE marking for products intended for export to the European Union and other European Economic Area countries, covering both technical and regulatory aspects.
  • Oversee and manage designated CE marking projects, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and adherence to timelines, budget constraints, and regulatory standards. Responsibilities include: defining project scope, estimating costs and timelines; identifying relevant European Directives and Harmonized Standards; providing engineering guidance for product testing; coordinating with international partners for alternative testing services; customizing engineering reports to meet client specifications; assigning tasks to certification engineers for review of non-CSA test reports; and ensuring project documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Stay informed about CE marking regulations. Conduct research and compile updates on regulatory requirements, administrative guidelines, and best practices for CE marking. Maintain a comprehensive database of this information and guide internal teams on national deviations and specific country requirements.
  • Organize and lead training sessions for clients, internal staff, and international partners to ensure process consistency and technical proficiency. Develop training materials that address regulatory, procedural, and conformity requirements for each relevant country.
  • Document, review, and refine CE marking processes and procedures to ensure all stakeholders can deliver consistent, efficient, and timely services.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Define project scope, estimated costs, and timelines;
  • Identify applicable European Directives and Harmonized Standards;
  • Provide engineering inputs for product testing;
  • Coordinate alternative testing services with international partners;
  • Customize engineering projects and reports for CE marking;
  • Assign tasks to certification engineers for report reviews;
  • Ensure completeness of engineering reports;
  • Verify proper completion of all necessary forms;
  • Ensure adherence to project budgets and obligations.
  • Collaborate with other departments and international partners to provide comprehensive service to clients seeking CE marking in the European Union and Economic Area.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience (5+ years) in the compliance sector.
  • At least 2 years of experience with EU Directives, Harmonized Standards, and IEC standards.
  • Proficient in English (both written and spoken); additional languages are an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; excellent customer service abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational, time management, and project management skills to independently complete tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a collaborative environment.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; detail-oriented.
  • Flexible with scheduling and time management.
  • Detail-oriented with a proven ability to deliver complex projects on time and innovate processes in challenging situations.
