Job Description
As a Registered Nurse with VON Canada, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing medical care to children, youth, adults, and seniors in their homes and other settings across Nova Scotia.
Responsibilities:
- Provide medical care to patients in their homes and other settings
- Manage diabetes, dialysis, IV medications, IV/CVAD care, palliative care, phlebotomy, and wound care
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the province of practice
- Experience in community health an asset
- A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle required
- A current and original copy of a satisfactory Criminal Records Check required and a Vulnerable Sector Search and/or a Child Abuse Registry Check may be required
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
