Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)


This exciting opportunity is available for a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in Queens County, Nova Scotia.



Responsibilities



  • Provide high-quality patient care to children, youth, adults, and seniors in their homes and other settings in communities across Nova Scotia.
  • Work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each client.
  • Administer medications, provide wound care, manage diabetes, perform dialysis, and provide palliative care, among other responsibilities.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and caregivers to ensure that they are informed and involved in the care process.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client information, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes.


Requirements



  • Certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the province of practice.
  • Experience in community health an asset.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle required.
  • A current and original copy of a satisfactory Criminal Records Check required, and a Vulnerable Sector Search and/or Child Abuse Registry Check may be required.
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
