About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Down East Hospitality Incorporated. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service establishment, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food meets the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Train Staff: Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and ensure that they are equipped to provide excellent customer service.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and take corrective action when necessary.
  • Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and prepare and submit reports as required.
Work Environment

As a Food Service Supervisor, you will work in a fast-paced environment, often under pressure to meet tight deadlines. You will be required to stand for extended periods and walk frequently.

Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service establishment is preferred.
  • Language: English is the primary language spoken in this role.
  • Work Schedule: 30 to 48 hours per week, with a permanent employment contract.
