Job Title: Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team in Toronto. As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our data and ETL technologies-based projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Act as a Senior Quality Engineer in a mid/large size program.
  • Create and execute test automation scripts on TOSCA Automation Tool.
  • Develop and manage test strategies, test plans, and test cases.
  • Work closely with the QE team and deliver stories assigned to you.
  • Coordinate with the existing QE team members, Business System Analyst, Developer, and Scrum Master.
  • Learn and use the company's in-house Data Testing Automation Framework.
  • Work on AWS-related technologies, including S3 bucket, DB Visualizer, Glue, and Redshift, as well as Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Participate in onboarding/Knowledge Transition sessions and develop understanding based on recorded training materials.
  • Manage and develop test activities, aligning to company's Quality Engineering practices.
  • Apply an automation-first mindset to testing activities.
  • Provide detailed information on defects found and help prioritize defects based on risk.
  • Defect Management using qTest and report status and/or metrics to project stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • University degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • RCMP Clearance required for this role.
  • 5+ years of Quality Assurance work experience, specifically in Data and ETL technologies-based projects.
  • 5+ hands-on experience on Test Automation, especially on TOSCA.
  • Experience with Test Automation Tools, such as Tosca Automation Specialist Level 1 & Level 2 and Tosca Data Integrity Specialist.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of DevOps (Jenkins), Continuous Integration, and delivery concepts, specifically continuous testing.
  • Strong understanding of ETL concepts and ability to lead projects independently.
  • Knowledge of coding languages, including SQL, MySQL, and Python.
  • Experience in working on Technical Data Mapping and creating Test Plans, Test Cases, and Expected Results.
  • Experience in validating source to target data load validation and debugging skills.
  • Experience with data warehouse, enterprise data lake, and big data tools and concepts.
  • Experience with Agile (Scrum and Kanban) and Waterfall methodology.
Preferred Skills:
  • RCMP Clearance.
  • Experience with TOSCA Automation Tool.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
Additional (Nice to Have) Skills:
  • Certification on TOSCA and TOSCA Data Integrity (DI) Tool.
  • Prior experience on Anti-Money Laundering Project would be an added advantage.
