Job Description

As a vital member of the PAOC community, we are seeking a dedicated and passionate Spiritual Leadership Pastor to facilitate and encourage spiritual growth and discipleship within our church family. This role requires a strong commitment to developing and implementing small group ministries, Bible studies, and other educational programs that nurture the unique giftings of individuals and empower them to serve within the church community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide spiritual leadership and pastoral care to the congregation, including visiting the sick, counseling those in need, and offering support during times of crisis.
  • Develop and deliver engaging, biblically-based weekly sermons during worship services and on special occasions and events.
  • Collaborate with team members and staff to plan and lead meaningful and spiritually enriching services that align with our church's vision and strategic directions.
  • Oversee the administration and management of church operations, including budgeting, financial planning, and personnel management in the church office.
  • Mentor, supervise, and support church staff and volunteers, fostering a positive, collaborative work environment with robust leadership development.
  • Perform other pastoral duties, including weddings, funerals, baptisms, and dedications, as required.

Requirements

  • A deep-rooted faith, vibrant prayer life, and strong commitment to their relationship with God.
  • A deep commitment to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, particularly as evidenced by a strong and sustained desire to see people embrace Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
  • An in-depth knowledge and understanding of the Scriptures and a commitment to sound doctrine, including traditional Pentecostal distinctives.
  • Exceptional communication and preaching skills with the ability to connect with all generations and believers from various socio-economic and cultural backgrounds.
  • Strong leadership skills with a passion for discipleship, spiritual growth, and empowering every member of Christ's church to reach the community.
  • Ability to lead and oversee ministry staff, boards, and volunteers, training and empowering them to minister to others.
  • Ability to conduct community outreach and evangelism, organize events, and manage multiple priorities.

Education and Experience

  • Current PAOC ordained credential holder.
  • Bachelor's degree in theology, religious studies, or related field.
  • Ministry experience, preferably including functioning as a lead pastor.
