Senior Construction Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Project Manager to join our team at D.J. MacLean & Sons Carpentry Ltd.
Job DescriptionThis is a permanent position that requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, preferably with a background in civil engineering and project management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing construction projects from planning to completion, ensuring they meet deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate subcontractors' activities and ensure effective communication among team members.
- Evaluate daily operations to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as necessary.
- Plan and organize daily operations, including preparing and submitting construction project budget estimates.
- Hire and supervise the activities of subcontractors, ensuring their work aligns with project requirements.
- Plan and prepare construction schedules and milestones, monitoring progress and making adjustments as needed.
- Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements.
- Read blueprints, schemas, and drawings to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Plan and manage budgets, direct the purchase of building materials, and oversee land acquisitions.
- Develop and implement quality control programs to ensure high-quality workmanship.
- Oversee data analysis and information dissemination to stakeholders.
- Write plans describing project specifications and construction schedules.
- Schedule work for other staff members, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
- Prepare and submit progress reports to stakeholders, providing timely updates on project status.
- Professional Engineer Certification (P. Eng.) or equivalent certification.
- Construction Trade Certification or relevant industry experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with team members, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
- Judgment and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Organized and efficient, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Accountability and responsibility, with a strong sense of ownership and commitment to delivering results.
- A valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation, as occasional travel to job sites may be required.
The successful candidate can expect a salary ranging from $90,000 to $120,000 per year, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package that includes dental, healthcare, and vision care benefits.
