About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sushi Chef to join our team at Sake sushi. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality sushi dishes for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook sushi dishes to the highest standards, using fresh and seasonal ingredients.
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Order supplies and equipment as needed to maintain a well-stocked kitchen.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure that they are working safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a kitchen environment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy loads.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position, working 30 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with a focus on providing excellent customer service and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
