Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

MILESTONE services LTD is seeking a skilled and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across the country.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods from trucks, ensuring that all cargo is properly secured and accounted for.
  • Operate and Drive Trucks: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the condition of the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Emergency Repairs: Perform emergency roadside repairs as needed, ensuring that the vehicle is safe to operate.
  • Inspections and Record Keeping: Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, and maintain accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring that all communication is clear and concise.
Requirements:
  • Certifications and Licenses: Possess a valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A) and any other required certifications or licenses.
  • Experience: Previous experience as a truck driver is an asset, but not required.
  • Work Conditions: Be able to work in a physically demanding environment, with regular overtime required.
Work Environment:

This is an on-the-road job, with a permanent position available. The working hours will be 40 to 60 hours per week, with a focus on safe and efficient transportation of goods and materials.
