Job Description

FoIicone is seeking an experienced Business Intelligence ETL Specialist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Develop ETL Framework: Design and implement an ETL framework from Oracle source to Azure Data Lake for initial load and incremental ETL.
  • Tools and Technologies: Utilize Oracle Golden Gate for data ingestion and change data capture, Azure Data Factory for pipeline maintenance, and Azure Databricks/PySpark for data transformation.
  • Review Requirements: Review database tables and relationships to identify gaps and inefficiencies in the current production reporting environment.
  • Data Design: Design ingestion framework and CDC using preferred tools, prepare design artifacts, and work with IT partners for configuration.
  • Development and Testing: Develop scripts for physical model updates, assist with data modeling, and perform unit testing.
  • Performance Review and Data Consistency: Troubleshoot performance issues, ETL load issues, and log activity for each package and transformation.
  • Knowledge Transfer: Transfer knowledge to Ministry staff, develop documentation, and provide technical requirements to the business.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 7+ years of working with SQL Server, SSIS, and T-SQL development or similar, and 2+ years of working with Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Python development.
  • Skills: 7+ years in ETL tools such as Microsoft SSIS, 2+ years in Azure Data Lake and Data Warehouse, and 2+ years in Python.
