Physiotherapy Assistant

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physiotherapy Assistant to join our team at Purdy Pavilion Long Term Care Facility in Vancouver, BC.
Key Responsibilities- Function under the operational supervision of the Program Manager and practice supervision of the Physiotherapy Practice Coordinator to carry out established rehabilitative activities within the physiotherapy scope of practice.
- Support the team with duties such as receiving assignments, implementing lower risk interventions, demonstrating and teaching activities, adapting devices, and providing functional direction to patients/clients/residents and family.
- Report relevant observations of patient/client/resident progress and behaviours.
- Provide direction to volunteers and organize and clean equipment and supplies for activities, and maintain the established inventory of supplies.
- Completion of a recognized Rehabilitation Assistant Program or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
- Ability to organize work.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
