About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Senior Sustainability Leader to join our team at Arc'teryx Limited. As the Vice President of Sustainability, you will be responsible for leading our global sustainability strategy and driving our organization towards a future where sustainability is integral to our success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive, long-term sustainability strategy that amplifies positive impact as our organization expands and becomes more complex.
  • Lead a high-performing sustainability leadership team of direct reports and cross-functional leaders who will partner with you in the success of critical areas like climate, circularity, and impact.
  • Act as the cultural leader of Sustainability for the organization, fostering trust and transparency of our sustainability practices throughout the company and acting as an ambassador for Arc'teryx's core values and behaviors.
  • Collaborate with Arc'teryx senior leadership to seamlessly integrate sustainability into our organizational strategy, including advocating and engaging in challenging conversations to challenge our status quo and navigate change leadership.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability principles into product development, supply chain management, and corporate operations.
  • Define and direct forward-thinking metrics and ensure consistent, credible reporting on our sustainability initiatives and science-based targets.
  • Partner with our communications team in developing impactful communications related to our sustainability impact locally and globally.
  • Lead regular risk prioritization and sustainability maturity and materiality assessments following industry best practices.
  • Identify and implement necessary processes and tools to uphold environmental impact and human rights principles.
  • Uphold Fair Labor Association's Workplace Code of Conduct and Principles of Fair Labor and Responsible Sourcing throughout the Arc'teryx supply chain.
Requirements
  • 15+ years' experience in leading brand sustainability programs along with a degree in sustainability, environmental science, or other related field, and you likely have advanced education in a focused area.
  • Strong influential leadership, with the ability to drive alignment across diverse cross-functional stakeholders at all levels of the business.
  • Strong understanding of the apparel and gear industry, from product development to material production.
  • In-depth understanding of chemical, materials, and product environmental impacts and are committed to ongoing learning to stay abreast of new research.
  • Experience with complex project management, including coordinating multi-stakeholder interests and cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills - interpersonal, written and verbal.
  • Proven track record in developing and leading the execution of a multi-year business strategy.
  • Extreme attention to detail.
  • Proven business acumen and analytical skills.
  • Entrepreneurial with the ability to make decisions and take calculated risks.
  • Proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions.
  • Highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity.

What We Offer

A competitive compensation package, including a base salary of $216,000 - $270,000 a year, plus a bonus program and benefits.
