Royal Bank of Canada is seeking a highly skilled Data Analytics Lead to join its Pricing Team. As the lead, you will play a crucial role in leveraging advanced analytics to drive business decisions and optimize pricing strategies.

With over $400 billion in assets, RBC Home Equity Financing (HEF) is the leading lender of residential mortgages in Canada. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with data science teams to support the development of predictive models that enhance pricing decisions.

The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience developing and optimizing complex queries. Hands-on experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau and PowerBI is also essential. A strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a passion for contributing to a dynamic team environment, are required.

The salary for this position is estimated at $120,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.

The Data Analytics Lead for Pricing Innovation will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of advanced analytics solutions to drive business decisions and optimize pricing strategies. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leveraging advanced analytics to provide senior leadership with insights into the impact of pricing strategies on the HEF portfolio.
  • Maintaining a robust reporting package focused on the pricing aspect of the HEF business to drive key decisions with a high degree of impact.
  • Collaborating with data science teams to support the development of predictive models that enhance pricing decisions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience developing and optimizing complex queries.
  • Hands-on experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau and PowerBI.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a passion for contributing to a dynamic team environment.
  • Undergraduate degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics).
