Personal Support Worker Job Description

At RT Medical, we're committed to providing exceptional care services to support our patients and customers in their health and wellness needs. This commitment includes supporting all of our team members however we can. Personal Support Workers with RT Medical enjoy many benefits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with personal care such as bathing and dressing
  • Provide companionship and emotional support
  • Take clients for outings or exercise
  • Perform basic meal preparation and light housekeeping duties
  • Provide respite while the primary caregiver is out of the home
  • Remind clients about their medication
  • Take clients to appointments or shopping
  • Be a part of the client's total care program
Requirements
  • Valid Personal Support Worker Certificate from a recognized program
  • Valid G2/G driver's license and access to a reliable car
  • Physical ability to stand, bend, walk, crouch, kneel and reach, ability to lift 50lbs (23 kg) independently
  • Valid Standard First Aid and Level C CPR
  • Updated immunization records
  • Clear criminal background check, and Vulnerable sector check are required upon hire
