Job Description

Job Summary

This role is for a Personal Support Worker to provide care and support to seniors in a long-term care setting. The successful candidate will have a strong background in providing personal care and will be able to work effectively in a team environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesPersonal Care
  • Provide personal care to clients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist clients with toileting and elimination
  • Help clients with mobility and transfers using equipment as needed
Housekeeping and Maintenance
  • Keep client living areas clean and tidy
  • Change linens and clean bathrooms as needed
  • Stock linen carts and clean laundry
Communication and Teamwork
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and staff
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to provide high-quality care
Additional Responsibilities
  • Assist with meal preparation and serving
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
  • Participate in social and recreational programs for clients

Requirements

  • Personal Support Worker certification or equivalent
  • Experience working in long-term care or a related field
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
