Job Summary
This role is for a Personal Support Worker to provide care and support to seniors in a long-term care setting. The successful candidate will have a strong background in providing personal care and will be able to work effectively in a team environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesPersonal Care- Provide personal care to clients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Assist clients with toileting and elimination
- Help clients with mobility and transfers using equipment as needed
- Keep client living areas clean and tidy
- Change linens and clean bathrooms as needed
- Stock linen carts and clean laundry
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and staff
- Work collaboratively as part of a team to provide high-quality care
- Assist with meal preparation and serving
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
- Participate in social and recreational programs for clients
Requirements
- Personal Support Worker certification or equivalent
- Experience working in long-term care or a related field
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
