Job Title: Personal Support Worker

Preferred Personal Care is seeking a compassionate and skilled Personal Support Worker to join our team. As a Personal Support Worker, you will provide high-quality care and support to adults and seniors in their homes, enabling them to maintain their independence and dignity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding, as well as light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
  • Support clients with mobility and transfer needs, including walking, transferring, and using assistive devices.
  • Provide companionship and social support to clients, engaging in activities that promote mental and emotional well-being.
  • Administer medications and perform other tasks as required by the client's care plan.
Requirements:
  • Completion of a Personal Support Worker program or equivalent experience.
  • Valid certification in CPR and First Aid.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with adults and seniors in a home care setting.
  • Knowledge of palliative care and end-of-life support.
  • Ability to speak multiple languages, including English and French.
