At ChainSafe Systems, we are seeking a skilled Bookkeeping Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of financial record-keeping, with experience in manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, taking into account tax implications and company policies.
  • Accurately calculate fixed assets and depreciation, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Manage financial records, including ledgers and financial statements, to provide insights into company performance.
  • Post journal entries, reconciling accounts and ensuring data accuracy.
  • Prepare statistical, financial, and accounting reports, highlighting trends and areas for improvement.
  • Conduct tax returns, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare trial balance of books, identifying discrepancies and ensuring accuracy.
  • Reconcile accounts, resolving any discrepancies and ensuring data integrity.
Requirements
  • College/CEGEP degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and Access.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
