Quality Engineer

The Quality Engineer plays a pivotal role in ensuring the organization's adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements. This position is responsible for monitoring and reporting on quality issues, promoting a culture of excellence, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of quality management systems, including ISO 9001, 14001, and 17025.
  • Facilitate internal audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct quality control inspections throughout the plant, including finished goods, work-in-progress, and raw materials.
  • Support the control of non-conforming raw materials and initiate corrective actions as needed.
  • Develop and implement process improvements, including process flow diagrams, control plans, and value stream mapping.
  • Initiate and complete PPAP packages for automotive customers.
  • Coordinate customer quality returns, including samples, receiving, and inventory transactions.
  • Document control through QPulse.
  • Perform measurement system analysis, including statistical process control and gauge R&R studies.
  • Act as a safety advocate and lead by example in complying with plant and occupational health and safety policies.
  • Participate in improvement projects and lead by example in a team environment.
Requirements:
  • College or university science-related diploma/degree or equivalent experience in the rubber industry.
  • Proficient in AirBoss software, including QPulse, IFS, and PI.
  • Leadership skills and good communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and knowledge of statistical methods.
