Nova Scotia Health Authority Job Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Imaging Specialist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. This is a permanent full-time position, 75 hours biweekly, Monday to Friday days with call rotation required.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with our diverse team of professionals providing high-quality inpatient and outpatient services, including academic, tertiary, and quaternary care, as well as continuing care, primary health care, public health, and mental health and addictions.
About the Opportunity
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist prepares, dispenses, and administers radiopharmaceuticals to perform more than 70 nuclear medicine diagnostic procedures and therapies effectively, efficiently, professionally, and ethically.

- Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nuclear Medicine Technology\
- Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification\
- Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure\
- Basic Life Support Certification\
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System\
- Able to adapt to changes or unusual circumstances in a way that promotes co-operation, teamwork, and minimizes disruption to the work environment\
- Must be able to establish a rapport with patients demonstrating courtesy, kindness, understanding, and professionalism at all times\
- Must be committed to practicing all aspects of Nuclear Medicine and demonstrate initiative in maintaining and expanding all related skills\
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred">
Compensation and Incentives
The hourly salary for this position is $34.96. The successful candidate may be eligible for up to $10,000 signing bonus and up to $5,000 relocation assistance with a defined Return of Service contract.
