Housekeeping Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at Holiday Inn Express Calgary University. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our hotel facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff to ensure efficient and effective cleaning and maintenance of hotel facilities.
  • Inspect sites or facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness standards are met.
  • Prepare and manage budgets and cost estimates for housekeeping supplies and services.
  • Recommend and arrange for additional services required, such as painting, repair work, or replacement of furnishings and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and reports.
  • Assist housekeeping staff in performing duties as needed.
  • Coordinate work activities with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Establish and manage work schedules to ensure adequate staffing and coverage.
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a housekeeping or facilities management role.
  • Permanent employment with a minimum of 36 to 44 hours per week.
  • Fluency in English.
Work Environment:

This is a fast-paced environment that requires the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. The role involves a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with frequent standing for extended periods and bending, crouching, and kneeling.
