We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Project Manager to join our team at BMO Financial Group. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Analysis and Planning: Develop and implement detailed financial and economic analysis to support business decision-making. Work closely with business leaders and finance partners to provide financial advice and services that drive business performance.

- Financial Planning and Analysis Service Delivery: Lead the execution of financial planning and analysis service delivery programs; assess and adapt as needed to ensure quality of execution.
- Financial Planning and Forecasting: Support/lead financial planning, forecasting, and performance reviews that utilize plan, forecast, and actual financial information to develop annual plans and targets.
- Variance Analysis: Perform variance analyses, and ad-hoc forward-looking analyses to improve understanding of business drivers as well as opportunities to improve performance for product improvement, profit improvement, financial impact of initiatives/strategic business decisions.
- Methodologies and Policies: Support the development of methodologies and policies to enable analyses and insights focused on financial dimensions.
- Financial Impact Analysis: Determine the financial impact of initiatives/strategic business decisions, and incorporate the impacts into future financial forecasts/plans.
- Business Case Assessment: Assess reasonableness of business cases and perform due-diligence during Investment reviews and approvals processes.
- Key Performance Indicators: Work with the business to align key performance indicators with financial forecasts and plans.
- Problem-Solving: Break down strategic problems, and analyze data and information to provide financial insights and recommendations.
- Process Improvement: Integrate information from multiple sources (e.g., financial and operational systems) to enable more efficient processes, enhanced analysis, and/or streamlined reporting.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor and track performance, and address any issues.
- Solution Implementation: Recommend and implement solutions based on analysis of issues and implications for the business.
- Enterprise-Wide Expertise: Operate at a group/enterprise-wide level and serve as a specialist resource to senior leaders and stakeholders.
- Trend Analysis: Implement changes in response to shifting trends.
Qualifications:
- Typically 7+ years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Able to manage ambiguity.
- Data-driven decision making - In-depth/Expert.
