Job Description

At FinDev Canada, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Credit Risk Leader to join our team. As a key member of our Risk Management Group, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of credit authorization strategies that ensure financial sustainability while maximizing our development impact.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and execution of credit authorization strategies that ensure financial sustainability while maximizing our development impact
  • Manage financial and non-financial risks, balancing customer solutions with rigorous risk management standards
  • Foster strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to leverage opportunities that support high-impact projects
  • Oversight of complex transactions and evolving our credit practices to align with our mission
Requirements:
  • Minimum 15 years experience in commercial credit transactions in a variety of industries and geographies
  • Minimum 5 or more years' experience in formal or informal people leadership or coaching and mentoring individuals
  • Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent negotiation and risk mitigation skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including drafting
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills
