Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Lead Educator to join our team at General Vanier Nursery School. This role involves leading a team of educators in providing high-quality early childhood education to children with special needs.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have experience working with children with special needs, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills. They will be responsible for developing and implementing educational programs, managing classroom resources, and collaborating with colleagues to ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement educational programs that meet the unique needs of each child
  • Lead a team of educators in planning and delivering educational activities
  • Manage classroom resources, including materials and equipment

  • Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers about their child's progress
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
  • Experience working with children with special needs
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to develop and implement educational programs
  • Physical ability to lift and move equipment and supplies
